Internships

Passionate about eliminating poverty? Looking to be part of the solution to senseless violence? Hoping to be part of the fabric of change for the better? Intern with us! We’re looking for motivated, hard-working, and adaptable students and recent graduates to join our intern program. Our internship opportunities are flexible. We offer both part-time and full-time internships that can last either one semester or two. Our intern program is designed to ensure you have ample opportunities to learn and that you leave here ready to make the world a better place than you found it.

Social Work Internship - Open to BSW and MSW social work students looking to complete a field practicum. The internship focuses on case management and community partnerships. This internship reports to the Director of Operations.

Program Internship - Open to any college/graduate program student or recent graduate. This internship focuses on implementing the various programs offered by our ministries, from our day shelter programs to our adult education programs and everything in-between. This internship reports to the Executive Director.

Operations and Fundraising Internship - Open to any college/graduate program student or recent graduate. This internship focuses on nonprofit operations and fundraising, from the administration of an organization to nonprofit communications to fundraising initiatives and everything in-between. This internship reports tot he Director of Operations.

Ministry Internship - This internship is open to college/seminary students or recent graduates. This internship is under New Walk of Life Church and is for anyone seeking to pursue a career in the church. The internship will also work closely with Mercy House programs. This internship reports to the Senior Pastor of New Walk.
