Servant Maker House
The Servant Maker House, nestled in the heart of Montgomery, Alabama, is more than a place to stay. It’s a launching pad for young changemakers. As part of the work of Ministry About People (MAP), this unique internship program offers college students a chance to live rent-free while investing in something far more valuable: the lives of others.
Each resident commits to a minimum of 40 hours per month of hands-on ministry, serving in MAP programs that uplift and empower the community. But their impact doesn’t stop there. Every Servant Maker intern is paired with students they will mentor, building meaningful relationships, planting seeds of hope, and inspiring younger generations to pursue college and dream bigger for their futures.
This is a place where service meets purpose. Where college students don’t just learn about leadership—they live it. Through daily acts of compassion, accountability, and community engagement, these interns become part of a movement that is reshaping Montgomery from the inside out.
The Servant Maker House is designed to teach the next generation that volunteerism is not just an activity, it’s a calling. It’s a place where young people learn to be the change they wish to see in the world and where they’re challenged to return to their own communities as bold, compassionate leaders.
Because when young people lead with love and serve with purpose, they don’t just transform others. They transform the world.
