Manna House

In 2022, we began rennovating a building on Court Street to help with our food needs. Our food needs being that we served 500 meals a day at the Mercy House, but we needed large freezer space and we wanted to be able to provide even more food, not just through the Mercy House, but through any nonprofit organization in the River Region that wanted to help. So the idea for the Manna House began. We got the property from an old restaurant and have been rennovating it ever since through grants and private donations.

Our vision for this building is not only see it used for providing food daily to those in need, but as a place to get food prepared when natural disasters strike areas close to us as well. We want to be able to help, and a top-notch kitchen facility with plenty of freezer space is what the Manna House will be.

When the Manna House opens, we will be providing approximately 1000 meals a day through it, with plans to ramp up those numbers to several thousand meals as we get more partner organizations onboard.
