MAP Center for Excellence

In 2020, WSFA Channel 12 News donated their 12 E. Delano Avenue building to us.

The MAP Center provides a comprehensive range of support resources aimed at fostering stability and empowering individuals and families to build a better future. Today, it houses the offices for the administrative staff of MAP. Our current partners that use this space with us include the Montgomery branch of the Salvation Army and a satellite location for Trenholm State Community College.

  • Partnering with the Salvation Army enhances the MH Center's ability to offer a wider array of services and resources. The Salvation Army is renowned for its commitment to humanitarian aid, including food assistance, clothing, and emergency housing. By housing the Salvation Army temporarily, the MAP Center expands its capacity to address immediate needs during times of crisis or high demand.

  • Satellite Location for Trenholm State Community College: Collaborating with Trenholm State Community College to provide GED and High School Diploma classes is an invaluable opportunity for individuals seeking to further their education, unlocking doors to better employment opportunities and higher quality of life pursuits.

By integrating these additional services and collaborations into its operations, the MAP Center becomes a hub of support and resources, empowering individuals and families to break free from the cycle of homelessness, poverty, or other difficult circumstances. It offers a comprehensive approach that addresses the root causes of instability, rather than simply providing short-term relief. Through its dedication to transforming lives, the MAP Center plays a significant role in creating a more resilient and thriving community.

We have also created a space here for youth to spend time outside of our after school program and in direct partnership of New Walk of Life Church.

We have a lot of space at this building and we look forward to filling it with future partners to better serve Montgomery.
